AI & Smart Manufacture in Nanjing

From 23.-25. June 2019 11 German startups made their way to China to visit Nanjing for the Semi-Finals of the AI & Smart Manufacture field. As a side event of the Nanjing Tech Week the startups pitched their products and ideas in front of a crowd of investors and corporates, which resulted in three innovative German startups winning the pitch-competition and proceeding to the Finals on September 12th in Shanghai. After the pitch competition the startups took part in a matchmaking with Chinese investors and corporates and were able to establish a lot of connections and generate valuable leads. Next stop was the tech-hotspot Hangzhou, where the delegation visited the impressive Hightech Industry Park to get to know interesting Chinese startups including WeDoctor and to go through another round of pitches and matchmaking. The roadshow continued to Shudou and Tangzhen, a city in which more than 300 German businesses established their offices on China mainland, an important step to successfully enter the Chinese market.
